The Temporary Protection Directive applies to all refugees from\u00a0Ukraine and gives\u00a0them the right to work in the Netherlands.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ox-1e68888f7d-MsoNormal\"><b>New\u00a0rules as of 1\u00a0November 2022<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ox-1e68888f7d-MsoNormal\"><b>Sticker or O document from the IND<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ox-1e68888f7d-MsoNormal\">From 1 November 2022, new rules apply to refugees from Ukraine.\u00a0<b><i>The refugees will then need a sticker or O document from the IND showing that they fall under the Temporary Protection Directive.\u00a0<\/i><\/b>Previously showing\u00a0a valid passport was sufficient.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ox-1e68888f7d-MsoNormal\">Does your employee from Ukraine have a sticker or O document from the IND?\u00a0In that case you\u00a0do not need to apply for a work permit for this employee.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ox-1e68888f7d-MsoNormal\"><b>Reporting an employee from Ukraine<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ox-1e68888f7d-MsoNormal\"><b><i>If you want to employ an employee from Ukraine, you do have to report\u00a0this\u00a0to the UWV<\/i><\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ox-1e68888f7d-MsoNormal\">The Netherlands Labour Authority uses the data from the notification to check whether you comply with labour laws.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ox-1e68888f7d-MsoNormal\"><b>Rights for employees from Ukraine<\/b><\/p>\n<p class=\"ox-1e68888f7d-MsoNormal\">Employees from\u00a0Ukraine have the same rights as Dutch\u00a0employees, such as the\u00a0right to a safe workplace, breaks, holidays and the minimum wage (see\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.uwv.nl\/werkgevers\/bedragen-en-premies\/index.aspx\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">het minimumloon<\/a>.).
